Safety Glass
GlasAktiv offers safety glass in a range of variations, such as toughened safety glass, laminated safety glass, semi-tempered glass and in combination with other typical glass forms.
Safety glass variants:
- Toughened safety glass 4 to 19 mm up to maximum dimensions of 3.200 x 7.200 mm and in particularly small dimensions
- Toughened safety glass with heat soak test in accordance with the building regulations list A
- Laminated safety glass from float glass, from toughened safety glass or from semi-tempered glass
- Screen printed or enamelled safety glass
- Laminated safety glass up to maximum dimensions of 3.210 x 12.000 mm
Processed safety glass variants:
- Safety glass with cut and polished edges
- Safety glass with cylindrical through holes or counter-bores
- Safety glass with corner cutaways, edge cutaways and surface cut-outs
Areas of application for safety glass:
- Possible uses of toughened safety glass are glass doors, glass showers, dividing walls and kitchen splashbacks
- Toughened safety glass with heat soak test is used in clamp-held glass banisters and glazed façades
- Laminated safety glass from float glass is used for fall-proof glazing and for accessible glass
- Laminated safety glass from toughened safety glass is used for balustrade infills, balustrade glazing and glass façades
- Laminated safety glass from semi-tempered glass is used for point-supported glass canopies, overhead glazing and glass roofing with lateral projection
